Here and Now

Well, we've been in Anderson for just over a month now. We've settled into our apartment and are getting used to being back in the midwest. We are definitely enjoying being around friends like the Galemas, Daughertys, Fridleys, and Kirsten Collette! I started work 3 weeks ago, and had my first week on the night-shift this week. I'm really enjoying the environment and girls I work with, but as with any job, it's always an adjustment. Benny has his final for the online summer course he started in May on Monday in Anatomy and Physiology. Let's just say he's REALLY ready for the class to be over! (REALLY ready!) Next Monday, he'll start soccer stuff full-time. Pre-season will start August 16th and the first game will be August 29th. He can't wait!

Chuck E Cheese's!!

Last night, Benny and I went with Adam, Cassity and Jared Galema to Chuck E. Cheese's! It was awesome!

Cassity and Jared, in the car on the way there. When we arrived, Cassity was so excited she literally screamed and jumped up and down.

Cassity and Chuck.

My husband is going to be a great dad someday.

Jared was ROCKIN' this game!
We missed you, Leslie!!

Fun with the Bennison Brothers

Benny's two brothers, Shaun and Kyle are without a doubt his best friends. Here they are being a little silly at their dad's wedding last weekend.

926 Reunion- Prescott, Arizona

About a week after moving to Anderson, Benny and I flew out to Arizona for one of the roomate's weddings. We had a great time with our "926 Family!"

"The Fam" (minus The Hanlons)

During the ceremony (with my handsome husband in the backround!)

Some Arizona scenery. It really was a pretty place, but it sure is H-O-T during the summer!

Kids Across America 2008

As promised (finally) here are our pictures from our trip to KAA the first week of June!

Here's the whole group on our last day of kamp. We really had a wonderful time, but it was so hard for Benny and I to know that we wouldn't get to see these kids on a regular basis after we got back. Thankfully, we had some great leaders with us on the trip (Alicia and James), and they WILL be in Ruston next year!

Benny with Naeem, Solomon, Adam and Deondra.

Me with Tiera, Alexis, Aaliyah and Jaechelle.

Adam getting ready to go down the screamer. God did some really cool things in this kid's heart at kamp...he became a Christian, and the kids in his cabin started calling him "Pastor Adam" because he wanted to make sure they all knew about Jesus. Then, the day after we got home, he called Benny because he had a friend he was talking to about salvation and needed Benny to help him lead him through the Gospel.

All of the kaleos (group leaders) were blessed with a night out in Branson, and what's a night out in Branson without a Branson show? We went to the Acrobats of China, and let me say...it was AMAZING! Highly recommend it. Here are Benny and James (blue striped shirt) with some of the other Kaleos...two of whom went to Anderson University with Benny! That was a really fun suprise when we arrived.
