Another Week of "Lasts"

This Friday, June 13th, we will be pulling our tightly packed U-Haul out of Ruston, LA...the only place Benny and I know as home as a married couple. Sunday, May 25th was the last Sunday we'd attend the worship service at Crossroads Church. Our good friend and Executive Pastor, Wade created a very humbling video tribute to us. (You can see it by following this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PHXoVsV6ow ) As you can probably imagine, I cried just a little bit during and afterwards :)

Wednesday, May 28th was my last day of work at Northern Louisiana Medical Center.

June 1-8th we took 18 kids from the under-privelaged side of Ruston to Kids Across America. (Pictures to follow!)

This week, we'll be tying up loose ends and packing up the last of our things. Thanks so much for your prayers during this fun, exciting, and some-what scary time!

Oh my gosh! That is a sweet video. I almost cried, so I cant imagine you during it. I bet those nostrils were flairing :) Muah! Love you guys. You are truly a special couple. Ruston was so lucky to have you. You two made such a huge difference in lives there. Thanks for loving God's people so well.

I can't wait to see KAA updates! That is SO COOL that you took kids from your town up there.

Keep your chin up - I know leaving your first "home" together will be hard, but worth it to see where God takes you next. Praying for y'all :)

Wow...so I totally need to check your blog more often. I had no idea you were moving. Hang in there. It should be hard to leave anywhere you have lived for awhile because you should give it (more the people there) a part of you!! but that is what God call us to do! I wish you the best in your move and new adventures!!
