Halloween!

This year we did dorm trick or treating on Monday night, and then went out with our friends the Stovers (Sawyer is 3 months younger than Andrew, and Miriam is 8 months younger than Alex).

 

Back Home on the Farm

While Kathy (Benny's mom) was in town a few weeks ago, we visited "Back Home on the Farm."

Bridgewater Lawn Party

Every year, the little towns in our area host "Lawn Parties."  They're basically little carnivals, and super fun for kids!

 

Andrew wasn't really into any of the rides, but he did LOVE this thing!  It was a little obstacle course with a big slide at the end.  I think he did it 5 times!

Vacation to the Bay!

In July, we met up with my parents and brother David for a vacation on the Chesapeake Bay in Cape Charles, VA.  We stayed in a beautifully renovated Victorian house that one of my coworkers owns.  The beach and ocean were wonderful, and we LOVED spending time with our family!!

 My Dad and David love to fish, so David bought poles for everyone and they went fishing/crabbing on the pier one evening.

 

They didn't catch much fish on the pier, but they went out on a guided fishing tour one morning and caught over 40!  David even got a little shark!

My parents watched the boys one morning so that Benny and I could go out to breakfast.  We ate at the Cape Charles Coffee House which was just a short walk around the corner.
