12 Daytz of Christmas--Putt Putt!

Putt Putt Date!!

Before Putt Putt we went out to eat at a yummy Harrisonburg restaurant named Clementine's.  I had ordered a falafel burger because some of the ingredients sounded yummy, but then after the waitress left I realized I didn't actually know what a "falafel" was!  It was the first time I had to google my order!  (and it turned out to be very yummy! :)

Memorial Day with our Virginia Family

We celebrated Memorial Day with friends from church. Our sweet friends The Polsons had our community group over for a cookout!

The guys: Chris, Nick, Matthew, Benny, Brandon, Sean, Tim, Damon and Emory.

The ladies (plus Alex): Melissa, me, Aaren, Lyndsay, Ann, Lindsay, and Kate.

Sawyer, Travis and Benny. (Andrew is behind Benny...the silly little boy didn't want his picture taken)  Sawyer is just 3 months younger than Andrew and they have so much fun together!

We are INCREDIBLY blessed by this amazing group of people.  They really are our family out here.  We meet weekly and share a meal together, and then go through a study (we're just finishing the book Gospel by JD Greear...it was fantastic!)  These people love and serve one another just like the early church!  Praise God for these men and women and their families!

WE MOVED!!

It's true...the Bennison family has moved yet again!!  This move was one of our shortest distances...just down the street 5 houses, but as we've added kids to our moves, they have definitely gotten more challenging!

The biggest reason for our move was the snake problem we had at our old house...Benny had killed 20 garter snakes in our backyard over the course of a year...YUCK!  The house we're in now is a little bigger and doesn't have snakes!

So, our new address is 110 College View Dr., Bridgewater, VA 22812

"Camping" with our community group.

In May, our community group with church went "camping."  I'm calling it "camping" because we put up the tents in the backyard of one of our friend's parent's house.  Here's some fun inside one of the tents!

Andrew's first smores experience!  He was very excited about the marshmallows!

I also called it "camping" because the Bennison family didn't spend the night!  We ate smores, hung out and then spent the night in our own beds at home!  :)

Grilling out with the soccer guys!

Back in May before the students left for the summer, we had the soccer guys over for a cookout!  Andrew loves these guys, and they're all so great with him!

Alex is 7 months old!!

Easter!

We started talking about Easter with Andrew in the middle of March.  We had purchased "Ressurection Eggs" and every morning Andrew would open one and Benny would explain a little piece of the Easter story.  We also found a great devo online that Benny read to him each night.  Some other things we did to celebrate our risen Savior!:

Colored eggs with Matty and Whitney...

Opening the final Ressurection Eggs...

Easter baskets!

Andrew got a t-ball set in his basket.  He loves it!

Our sweet and wonderful friends The Kiracofes invited us over to Brandon's parents house for dinner.  His mom arranged an Easter egg hunt for all of the kids...

And even got the boys baskets!  SUCH a blessing!!

This picture was from back in February, but it's of Alex with Keilan Kiracofe.  They're just two months apart in age and I'm sure they're gonna be great buddies!!!
