Easter!
We started talking about Easter with Andrew in the middle of March. We had purchased "Ressurection Eggs" and every morning Andrew would open one and Benny would explain a little piece of the Easter story. We also found a great devo online that Benny read to him each night. Some other things we did to celebrate our risen Savior!:

Easter baskets! |
Andrew got a t-ball set in his basket. He loves it! |
Our sweet and wonderful friends The Kiracofes invited us over to Brandon's parents house for dinner. His mom arranged an Easter egg hunt for all of the kids... |
And even got the boys baskets! SUCH a blessing!! |
This picture was from back in February, but it's of Alex with Keilan Kiracofe. They're just two months apart in age and I'm sure they're gonna be great buddies!!! |
A Visit from Matty and Whitney!
Matty and Whitney (friends from Indiana) came to visit two weeks ago! Matty called me in January and said that they wanted to come for a visit, and that they wanted to surprise Benny. Somehow I was able to keep the secret! We loved having them here, and they were AMAZING with the boys. Andrew has asked several times since they've left, "Matty and Whitney come back?" So sweet.
Nemo Fish
One day after a Wal Mart trip, Benny and Andrew came home with a little goldfish who Andrew named "Nemo Fish." Andrew had lots of fun feeding and watching the little guy swim around in his "tank" (ie vase). Sadly, Nemo Fish was only apart of our family for 3 days...he died shortly after we changed his water. Apparently there's a certain way you're supposed to do that...
Thankfully Andrew took it pretty well!
March Snow!
In March, we had three separate snow storms that each brought several inches of snow. The crazy thing was that after each storm, the temperature would go back into the 50s for a few days, then drop to the 30s, snow, and repeat!
The first morning we took Andrew out was really cold, still snowing and really windy. He wasn't a big fan of the snow on this day. |
Look at that little grimace. |
The next day, after it had stopped snowing, we tried again. As you can see, he was all about it! He went sledding on a little hill across the street from our house... |
Sat in a little "snow seat" that I made for him... |
Made snow angels... |
Made a snowman... (When I asked him what we should name the snowman, he said "Moses!" And then he wanted to make another "small one" named Noah.) |
And of course, who doesn't love some hot chocolate after playing in the snow?! |

Cru Leadership Dinner
"Cooking"
I saw this idea on pinterest...I put different dry items from the pantry (oatmeal, rice, dry beans, etc) into a muffin tin and then gave Andrew saucepans, bowls and spoons and encouraged him to "cook" something for me! He kept it pretty tame for a little while, but then ended up making an absolute mess! He definitely had lots of fun though!
Valentine's Day Baking
My sweet husband initiated a fun after dinner activity for Valentine's Day...baking devil's food cupcakes!! As you can see, Andrew was eager to help!
